The Oriental ladies come alive and demurely look from side to side. At the same time the background lights up. The treasure chest opens up and scatters its loot of coins and gems. The "Jewels of the Orient" logo changes to "Wild", with a burst of firecrackers.
The coin denomination range varies from 0.01 to 0.25. With players being able to wager up to maximum of 20 coins per payline the maximum line bet goes up to 5.00 credits, which will create interest for high rollers as well. Jewels of the Orient has only 9 paylines, which is a disadvantage because winning combinations do not appear as frequently.
The Jewels of the Orient logo is the wild symbol. It does not however multiply payouts. It offers the highest fixed jackpot of 2,500 coins. One advantageous feature is that even if two of these symbols appear left to right on any enabled payline there is a payout. The next highest fixed jackpot pays 800 coins when five Oriental ladies in red appear on an enabled payline. Three or more scatter symbols trigger a combined bonus game on the second screen and a free spins round. Three scatter symbols offer between 10 and 15 free spins, with a multiplier between 1x and 5x and a bonus payout which is between 5x and 25x the total bet. Four scatter symbols offer between 15 and 20 free spins, with a multiplier between 1x and 5x and a bonus payout which is between 20x and 100x the total bet. Five scatter symbols offer between 20 and 40 free spins, with a multiplier between 1x and 5x and a bonus payout which is between 50x and 120x the total bet. The exact parameters are chosen on the basis of a bonus game that is played before the free spins. Three sets of men dressed in Oriental outfits present boxes on trays.
