Microgaming Hold'em Casino GamesBy: Shirley Spicer, Thursday October 28th 20100 Comments Email Print Texas Hold'em Poker is by far the most popular poker variant. In poker rooms the game is played between players with the poker room taking a rake. In order to offer online casino players with some of the thrill of Hold'em Poker, online gaming software providers have developed variants of this game in which players can wager against the casino. Microgaming, the leading software provider, has four such games in its portfolio. They can be found in the section More Table Games. One of the games is Hold'em High. It is a multi hand game and allows players to wager on five hands at a time. It is from the Microgaming Gold Series and has elegant styling. Hold'em High is one of the simplest Hold'em casino games. There is no dealer's hand and the player's hand is matched against a payout table. The player places the Ante bet and is first dealt the two pocket cards. He has three options. He can Fold, in which case he loses the Ante bet. He can Call, in which case a bet equal to the Ante bet is added. He can Raise, in which case a bet equal to twice the Ante bet is added. If the player does not Fold the five community cards are exposed. Any hand better than two pairs of jacks pays as per the pay table. There is a side bet that can be played independently and has a separate payout table based only on the pocket cards. Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker is more like the poker variant. It is a single hand game from the Microgaming Gold Series. The player places the Ante bet and is dealt the Triple Action Hold'em Bonus Poker is an unusual variant. It is played with a 28 card deck composed of 8s, 9s, 10s, Js, Qs, Ks and As. The game begins with the Ante bet. The player is dealt two pocket cards. Three community cards are dealt face down. The dealer is dealt pocket cards, one face up and the other face down. The player has to decide whether to Play or Fold. Play involves placing another equal wager. Then the remaining cards are exposed and the hands compared. Player's wins are paid out as per game rules. This Microgaming Hold'em variant is called Triple Action because there are three side bets. The Ante Bonus and the Bonus side Bet are paid on full five card hands. The Flop Side Bet is paid on the three community cards only. Triple Pocket Hold'em Poker has the player playing against two dealer hands and has to beat them both. The player can ask for up to two replacements of pocket cards. The rejected pocket cards go to the dealers. The game is played like the normal Hold'em games but with no intermittent betting. All these Hold'em variants can be played at Microgaming online casinos such as Spin Palace, River Belle, Platinum Play and All Jackpots.
