All winning combinations must appear on an enabled payline. You can set the number of enabled paylines yourself, by accessing the "Lines" button at the bottom of the game's interface.

All winning combinations have to appear from left to right on the screen; so they have to start at the first reel on the left.

As has been explained, there are no wild symbols in the game, but the "Boogie Monsters" symbol pays out as much as the wild symbols in many slot games when they appear across an enabled payline.
