Microgaming Baccarat Payout Tables and Rules
Game Rules and Payout Details |
The payouts are not very hard to figure out or interpret in the game of baccarat. With three different ways to bet - the Player, Banker or tie - there are only three possible payouts. This is probably a plus for the player who is looking for a simple game, as it is very straightforward.
What is less straightforward are the complicated rules that involve the conditions under which a third card is to be taken by either of the two entities - the Player or Banker. basically this is the way it works, as it is explained in the rules:
- If the Player or the Banker has a total of an 8 or a 9 they both must stand.
- The Banker can get a third card, if the Player stands and the Banker’s total is 5 or less.
- If the Player’s total is 5 or less, then the Player gets a third card.
- If the Player gets a third card, there is a chart available through the help files which outlines the circumstances under which the Banker gets a third card.
Payout Schedule
For a successful wager on either the Banker hand or the Player hand, the base payout is the same - even money. There is, however, a subtle but meaningful difference. While a bet on the Player hand that wins pays off at an even money figure that you keep, successful bets on the Banker will require that you pay a an amount equal to 5% of the win to the house. Betting on the Banker hand actually puts you at an advantage over the house; the 5% commission wipes that out, of course, but the Banker hand is still a better percentage bet than the Player hand.
Any bets on a tie that win are paid off at 8-to-1 odds. However, the odds against a bet like that coming in are about 9.5-to-1, so it is a very low percentage play, by far the worst of the three possible wagers you can make. |
