And of course it wouldn't be a Microgaming product without a lot of options available for the player's convenience, such as the ability to adjust all the sounds that are used during game play, or shut them off entirely. In the "Expert Mode," the option of Autoplay can be used, which minimizes the interaction with the game itself and allows the player to play automatically for any specified number of spins. And the "Quick Spin" option can also be invoked. This speeds up the spin of the reels so that the result of any spin comes up much quicker, thus enabling the player to get in more action over a shorter period of time.
It's pretty simple as to how you start to play "Avalon." Just click the "spin" button and away you go. Of course, there are some thing you have to do in order to set the parameters for each spin. You can adjust the coin size you are using by clicking on the plus (++ or minus (-) controls underneath the icon that denotes the coin denomination (it is near the bottom left-center of the interface). You can do the same with the number of paylines you want to enable by clicking plus or minus controls under "Lines." Or you can just "Bet Max" and the software will automatically wager the maximum allowable for you.
There are two blue buttons in which you can "View Payout." That takes you to a series of payout tables which will tell you exactly what payoff you can expect for each conceivable winning combination. Each succeeding screen with information can be reached by clicking a button that says "Next." Or, you can go "Back to Game."
The Avalon is the wild symbol. It can be used in place of other symbols to complete winning situations, except in the case when only scatters will do. The Avalon symbols also offer the biggest payouts when they appear across a payline. In fact, the maximum jackpot of 3000 is achieved with five in a row.
The scatter symbol is the "Lady of the Lake" symbol, and three or more of them will automatically activate the Free Spins Bonus Game. The scatter carries with it a multiplier as well. In the best case, if five "Ladies" appear on the screen, the payout is 200x the amount of coins bet. In the Free Spins Bonus Game, the Chest is a wild symbol.
After any win in regular play, and at the conclusion of the Free Spins Bonus Game, you can play the Gamble Bonus Game by clicking the "Gamble" button. Here there is a face-down card, and you have two options - guessing what color the card is (red or black) or what suit the card is (heart, diamond, spade or club). You can double your winning by guessing the correct color, and quadruple the winnings by guessing the correct suit.
