Medusa is a very popular character from Greek Mythology. She was one of the Gorgon sisters and once boasted that she was more beautiful than Athena. So Athena turned her into a monster and decreed that anyone who directly looks at her would be turned to stone. Perseus, the Greek hero, beheaded Medusa and gave her head to Athena who placed it on her shield. Medusa is depicted in art as either a ravishing seductress or a fearsome ogress. Mark of Medusa was released in January 2008. Medusa is obviously the main symbol. She is depicted as a beautiful woman, except for her hair which are somewhat terrifying snakes. In this slot game she is depicted as the scarred and fearsome creature that Athena turned her into. In an interesting animation the high value card symbols get turned into stone during winning combinations.
