March Madness $250K Tournament Starts Sunday

March Madness has been billed as the largest ever online slots tournament. It offers a prize pool of $250,000. The tournament starts on Sunday the 1st of March and will run till the 1st of April. The game on which this tournament will be played is one of the most popular online slot games from the suite of Vegas Technology - The Reel Deal.

Though the tournament was announced a month back, the complete details have been posted at the participating online casinos only recently. The lion's share of the prize pool, $100,000, will be paid to the winner. There will be one 2nd prize of $25,000; one 3rd prize of $15,000 and one 4th prize of $10,000. From the 5th prize onwards there will be multiple winners. The 5th prize of $2,500 will go to two winners; the 6th prize of $1,000 will go to ten winners; the 7th prize of $500 will go to ten winners; the 8th prize of $250 will go to twenty winners; the 9th prize of $100 will go to fifty winners; the 10th prize of $50 will go to 150 winners; the 11th prize of $25 will go to 250 winners and the 12th prize of $10 will go to 5,625 winners. There will be a total of over 6,000 players who receive prizes. And over 5,500 players will have recovered their entry fee of $10. In fact 280 players are being given free entries to the March Madness through freeroll qualifiers. 260 of those have already booked their places in the March Madness. 10 will be selected on the 27th of February and 10 on the 28th of February. The qualifying freeroll for the 27th of February is Magic Monkey and that for the 28th of February is Funky Chunky.

March Madness is being hosted by the English Harbour Group of online casinos. The English Harbour group launched its first online casino in 1997.
