Leading Software Providers Spread their WingsBy: Adam Richards, Friday October 22nd 20100 Comments Email Print Cryptologic and Microgaming were the pioneers in the online gaming software industry. For over a decade they provided their software and games to dedicated gaming operators. But now news reports come with increasing frequency of Cryptologic and Microgaming online casino games being offered by operators on other software platforms. Cryptologic had adopted this business model over a year ago and tied up with other software platforms through which its games are available at the web sites of many leading operators. But of late there had been no news from the desk of Cryptologic of further deals in this regard. Therefore the announcement of a tie up with NYX Interactive and Cryptologic has come as a pleasant surprise. Cryptologic games will now be offered to online gaming operators on the NYX Rapid Platform. David Flynn CEO for NYX Interactive said "Our vision at NYX is to empower our customers with as wide a choice of gaming content as possible. This agreement with Cryptologic expands our portfolio of deliverables with our Rapid Platform solution. With this agreement NYX can deliver this content for our licensed customers." The NYX Rapid Platform offers to its clients a wide range of online gambling products such as bingo, scratch cards, lottery and casino games. Now these operators will be able to offer to their players the popular Marvel Comics branded super hero slots games. This series available only through Cryptologic includes games based on eternal super heroes like Spiderman, Iron Man and Fantastic Four. Ian Price, Head of Business and Product Development at Cryptologic, responded by saying, "We are delighted to be able to offer our top quality branded and unbranded games to NYX Interactive via our quick and simple Instant Click deployment model. The seamless transition of Cryptologic's games to NYX's Rapid Platform provides Cryptologic with alternative revenue streams as each new licensee signs-up." He added that this deal with NYX Interactive demonstrated both the demand for Cryptologic games and the confidence in Instant Click. Microgaming, though a later starter than Cryptologic in this arena, is fast catching up. Its new QuickFire software allows operators and service providers to access some of the best Microgaming slot games like Thunderstruck and Tomb Raider. In a short space of time Microgaming has signed up with nine operators. The latest is Cashball, the Isle of Man based full service provider for gaming companies. Ironically, it is an associate of NYX Interactive Group, which has signed up with Cryptologic. Staffan Lindgren, Director for Cashball said, "We understand what it takes to build an optimised site and offering to attract and retain players. This solution together with the additional casino and scratch card content provided by QuickFire, powered by Microgaming, provides Cashball with an even stronger offering to the market."
