Microgaming recognizes the fact that players have different needs and habits and therefore provides a huge number of options in its software. Microgaming also provides over 350 online casino games. Navigating through that many games can be a daunting task and Microgaming has provided a systematic process for that. In fact it has provided two options that players can choose from.

One system of navigation is the visual representation of the logos of the online casino game in a tab format. This is the default system the viewer first sees. The tabs of the game categories are presented first. The categories are Blackjack, More Table Games, Tournaments, Jackpots, Classic Slots, Video Slots, Video Poker and Other Games. On clicking a tab the logos of the games that fall within that category can be viewed in a grid orientation. Microgaming provides the option of viewing all the games clubbed together or divided into sub categories. For example Blackjack games are subdivided into Single Hand and Multi Hand games. The advantage of the tab option is that it is visually rich and appealing. Some players would find it easier to identify a visual logo with the details of the game rather than a name tag and this would be of help to them. The disadvantage is that all the logos do not fit on the screen at the same time and players have to view through a number of pages. This can be done in sequence through arrows or in random through page numbers.

The second option is the list option. The list format is the traditional format that Microgaming used in the initial versions of the software. The visual representation is a later addition. The categories in the list format are fewer. Blackjack and More Table Games have been clubbed into one category of Table Games and Classic Slots and Video Slots have been clubbed into Slots. The disadvantage in this option is that there is no sub categorization and all games within a category appear in a continuous list. Another disadvantage is the loss of the visual richness. The advantage is that the all online casino games can be screen by scrolling down the list, which is easier than navigating through pages. And to make up for the lack of sub categorization the list view enables sorting by indicators relevant to the category. For example players can sort Slots games by type of slot and also by jackpot amount. This is a very strong and useful tool. The player can toggle between the tab and list options by clicking on the "Games View" button in the bottom right hand corner of the software client.

Both options provide helpful features. In both cases games are listed in alphabetical order to make for easier search. Both options provide a description area where the brief rules of the online casino game appear when the player points to it. Both options provide for two other categories. One is New Games which has recently released games in it. The other is Favorites that contain the games downloaded by the player. Hence the player need not go through an extended search the second time he wants to play a game.
