H2 Gambling Capital is a well known research organization that specializes in the various sectors of the gambling market. It was known that for the last year it had been carrying out an in-depth analysis of the mobile gambling market. Now, H2 Gambling Capital has announced the release of its comprehensive and authoritative report titled "Gambling Goes Mobile".

The report covers every aspect of mobile gambling and includes topics such as historic roadblocks, network technologies, operating systems, software delivery, devices, smart phone and mobile penetration for all major markets, payment processing, product verticals, detailed market overviews, software suppliers, operators, social platforms, market size and forecasts. It also offers its conclusions and recommendations.

Gambling Goes Mobile places last year's mobile gambling market value at about €2.22 billion. It forecasts that by 2015 the figure will have doubled to reach €5.4 billion. This works out to a compound annual growth rate of 19.3%, which is much more than any industry can expect. The report also put mobile gambling in perspective with other forms of gambling. At the end of last year the mobile gambling market was 9.8% of the total interactive gambling market and 0.6% of the total global gambling market. Gambling Goes Mobile has made a conservative prediction that the share of mobile gambling in the interactive gambling market will grow to 12.9% by 2013. The share of mobile gambling in the total global gambling market will grow to 0.9% by 2013. It is evident that mobile gambling is growing faster than other forms of gambling.

The Gambling Goes Mobile report also analyzes the mobile gambling market by sectors. Betting on racing contributes significantly to the global mobile gambling market. H2 Gambling Capital places the proportion at almost 77%. In 2010 the Japanese Racing Association accounted for almost 57% of this. The report predicts that over the next five years the focus will shift to mobile casino gaming and mobile lottery. The reasons given in the report are development of player-friendly technology such as improved connectivity and innovations like tablets. The Gambling Goes Mobile report states that by the end of 2015 betting will still remain the dominant sector but its share will come down to 50%. Mobile casino gambling will be the biggest beneficiary and will have increased its share to 40%. Mobile lottery will make up the balance 10%.
