Online casinos in windowed or full screen mode?
I've been trying to decide which way I should be playing at online casinos and have decided that I prefer full screen mode over playing in windowed mode for a few reasons. I find that playing in full screen mode just makes everything bigger and nicer. The symbols in the slots games I've been playing lately are bolder and and although not as crisp as when they're in windowed mode it's still rather nice. I think this is because it would appear as though they develop casino software in windowed mode to be 800x600 vs. a larger screen setting for their default. I wonder if this was just the old setting that they adhered to or something because 800x600 as a resolution is kind of obsolete these days. Anyways I do really love playing in wide screen but I do notice that there are some benefits of playing in windowed mode. While playing in a smaller window while playing at an online casino you don't consume the entire screen and thus have the ability to focus on doing other work and tasks while playing. I can understand for players out there that like to leave the online casino software playing in auto play that this would be a big advantage to them especially since most softwares for online casinos that I've played at stop the bonus rounds so you can play them. So I can imagine that people just do work or something else while they wait for a bonus round to hit where they'd play though the bonus round themselves.
At the end of the day it's a preference thing which mode you play in.
What would you guys say is your favorite mode to play in and why?

Re: Online casinos in windowed or full screen mode?
Me I personally prefer to play most of the time in windowed mode because recently most of the time I've been playing has been is on my desktop computer where I have two monitors going. If you play in full screen mode I find that you can't move over to the other monitor to run tasks and do other things in parallel. Now sure why casino software has been developed this way but certainly there must be a way to develop in such a way that I can move over to another monitor and play in full screen mode.
So because of this I really do prefer to play in Windowed mode vs. full screen. I do think that when you play in full screen mode you're more immersed in the gaming experience though so I can fully understand why people play this way. I know that for myself that when I play on my laptop while I'm traveling or just lounging around the house I'll always play in full screen mode as my mode.
I agree with you though Ray it's really a matter of preference over and above anything else and is on a per player basis.
All the best, Hal

Unlike Hal I work on one single monitor, lol... What a multi-tasker you are!
Anyways my preference has always been to play in full screen mode for the simple fact that when I play I like to really get into the expereince and forget about everything else. I find that playing in full screen mode allows you to get as close as you can to being in front of a slot machine in Vegas without the need to actually be in Vegas.

I like both depending on what I'm doing and the kinds of games that I'm playing. For example slots I prefer playing in full screen mode as I feel the expereince is better and blackjack I could go either way but normally I'll play blackjack in windowed mode.

I'm with Brady it for me as well depends on the kinds of games that I generally play. For sure slots are games that I like to play in full screen mode. Video poker I also play in full screen mode but pretty much all other games I'd play I'm impartial to the mode of play on but would generally play blackjack in a smaller window as opposed to full screen.
Hal as for your issue I think that if you play at Wizard Gaming casinos although they don't have any operators as of right now allow you to move over to the other monitor while you're in full screen mode. So if you play at their casinos it shouldn't be a problem for you this issue that you're having with the casinos you're currently playing on.

Full screen mode all the way for me. I think it's way better to play this way and it does for sure take away from the feeling as though you're playing at your computer and more like you're playing at an actual slot machine in Vegas.

Re: Online casinos in windowed or full screen mode?
My preference is full screen mode for everything including slots, blackjack and all other games that I play when I play online. I figure that there's no need for windowed mode unless you want to do other work or things on your computer while you're playing. I'm a bigger fan when playing of just playing and nothing else so that's where I really stand on windowed mode vs full screen mode when I play at online casinos.

Windowed mode for me. Because casino software was developed or started being developed many years ago the standard was to develop for 800x600 resolution which means ultimately that on larger monitors when you maximize the window the games look sort of pleated and not as good and sharp as they do when they're in windowed mode.
This is my preference at least.

Re: Online casinos in windowed or full screen mode?
Hey everyone,
I actually prefer windowed mode myself when playing slots games and when I play blackjack I prefer being into the whole expereince a bit more. I find that I like to pay more attention when playing blackjack then playing slots games and when you play blackjack in full screen mode you get just that.
All the best!
