I'm really a fan of the mini downloader that online casinos have that allow you to download a small 500Kb or so file onto your computer which actually launched another download process that continues to download the entire file(s) as required to run the online casino that you're playing at. I'm finding more and more that each of the online casinos that I try offer this. It's refreshing from regular PC games as I find that often times those games that you download can be well in excess of 500Mb yeah that's right megabites... It think that the staged downloading in online casinos and poker rooms is definitely beneficial as it certainly keeps me interested. If I for example had to download the entire suite of Microgaming games in one shot and even though I'd likely only be playing them for fun I hear their suite of games is over 1GB when it's fully been downloaded. Anyways I just wanted to share this with you guys as something that I've recently discovered about not just one online casino but almost all of them that are also powered by different gaming software providers.

The idea and reasons for the use of the mini download that you then run in order to download the full version of the software makes sense to me. I think that the idea of running the registration process during the download is a good idea as well. Another cool idea would be to run a small mini game while the main download is taking place especially if it's a rather large file or set of files that are being downloaded. Like a mini pong or pac-man game would be quite fun to play and keep the attention on the game and what's going on there... Anyways just a thought...

To me it doesn't matter as long as the casino is able to download swiftly and I'm able to install it with as little frustration and problems as possible I think that I'm OK with either the large initial download or the mini download really doesn't make all that much of a difference to me.
