Identity theft possible at online casinos?
Unfortunately unlike many of you who use credit cards at online casinos with a lot of success I don't seem to have the same kind of luck for whatever reason. It must be that the bank that I have credit cards with are rejecting most of my transactions as I'm not able to regularly deposit at the casinos that I play at.
Recently I switched to using a different banking method to make deposits which has been working fine but now these people have so much of my information on file including a scanned copy of my passport, credit cards, etc... I'm just a little bit worried and skeptical at this point that there may be some issues in the future where a rogue employee of these companies uses this information against me in perhaps an identity theft scheme which I would say is completely plausible and doable on their part based on everything they currently have on me. I know that I'm probably being paranoid and that you guys would likely advise that I shouldn't use these banking methods if I feel this way but I'm just looking out for myself. What do you think is it possible that they'd do this?
Thanks anyways your comments would be appreciated.

Anything is possible including what you're suggesting but at the same time I would say that the proposed scenario that you're suggesting would be highly unlikely. The online casino banking methods that are out there are run typically by savvy businessmen who know it would mean the end of their business if their integrity was compromised. That's not to say however that a rogue or disgruntled employee wouldn't act in what would be considered against the best wishes of the company but I would say that it's rare. I personally don't think that you have all that much to worry about and that you should be OK. If you were to trust an online casino with your credit card what's the different between that and trusting a third party company with similar type details.

If it's any of the big providers something to the likes of NETeller, Click2Pay, Moneybookers, Entropay, etc... I don't think that you should really worry about it. I think that the fly by night payment processing companies that pop up out of now where is what you have to look out for. So ultimately if a payment processing gateway has been around for several years for example there's a good chance that there's nothing to really worry about.
