Downloading game by game or whole suite?
I noticed that some online casinos offer the ability to download games individually (ie. one by one) or the entire suite in the background. I know that Microgaming pushes all of their games to your computer which amounts to something like 1Gb+ of space usage, however I have noticed and found that other software providers like RTG allow you to download games one by one and not individually.
When looking at the options menu while playing at All Star Slots a Wizard Gaming powered online casino (A great online casino by the way because they're powered by a new software provider offering something different new and innovative) I noticed that you can select whether you want to download the games one by one or alternatively download the entire suite of games in the background. I think that for online casinos and software companies that maintain a large suite of games it's really a great feature to have to allow players to download games at their own leisuer so as to not overly consume their hard disk space. I personally like both options and use both but only because I have one computer with a solid state hard drive of 50Gb so I like to preserve as much space as possible on this computer so I've opted for playing at All Star on this computer because I can download online casino games one by one. On my other computers that have massive 300Gb+ drives I don't really care if the whole suite of casino games downloads in the background. So either way the feature is good and players who have the same concerns should be aware of this and make use of it at casinos that do offer such a feature. I think that Wizard Gaming is the only one that currently offers this feature within their software platform.

Re: Downloading game by game or whole suite?
For me I'm very impatient as I think that there are many other players out there who are as well and because of this having all casino games downloaded installed and ready to play on your computer is definitely a benefit. Although it does obviously take more space to store an entire suite of casino games on your computer hard drive space and large hard drives especially are so common place now that it really shouldn't be a worry if you have a Gb+ online casino installed on your computer.
The way that Microgaming does it is very wise. What they do is that if you have 5 online casinos installed on your computer that are all Microgaming powered all you really need is the common assets downloaded for one entire online casino and if you have that then all other online casinos that are Microgaming powered will share those assets. This is a good approach to software development and makes it far more compact to have several online casino brands installed on your computer.
I think that the feature you've mentioned that Wizard Gaming offers does seem very handy this would be something that someone who doesn't like all games downloaded at once or in the background to make use of.

I think that my preference is really based on where I'm playing. For example I "wish" that RTG casinos worked in a way where all the games downloaded automatically in the background or that they had a feature like Wizard Gaming does to allow all games to download in the background.
For other software's like Vegas Technology where the games are relatively small and take less then 1 minute to download and install I don't mind the on demand type download process.

Me I prefer downloading the entire suite in the background provided that it doesn't interfere with other tasks and operations that I may be running on my computer. I've found that some of the casinos out there powered by various software providers will hog my internet connection and really make for a pain in doing and performing other tasks.
I think that as mentioned Wizard Gaming has it right especially the ability to choose your internet connection which decides how much of your bandwidth to consume.
Cheers, Rubin

On demand games ready for play when you want to play them is definitely the best option. I think that it's worth downloading the entire suite of online casino games available when playing at online casinos rather then opting for downloading game by game when you want to play them. It doesn't cost that much in terms of resources on your computer so it's definitely worth doing if you ask me.

There's no doubt that having everything download in the background on your first installing of an online casino platform is the better way to go about it. Disk space is so cheap these days and it's not that big having a 1GB+ online casino installed on your computer or several for that matter. When you look at some of the bigger applications or other PC games that you can install on your computer these can get up to and in excess of several GB.
I'm always in favor myself of having everything there at my fingertips and ready to be played when I want to play it!
Take care!

I like having the entire suite of games available at my fingertips personally and couldn't really care less about the fact that it takes up a lot of space on my hard drive.

Getting the whole suite of games downloaded is better IMO just having access to everything at your fingertips whenever you want it is sort of key to a good gaming experience.

I too prefer to download games all at once if I can and if the software allows for automatic downloading of games in the background.
