Online casino slots with generic symbols in game?
I wouldn't consider myself a super well seasoned online casino player but I've learned a lot over the past months that I've been playing online and grown rather fond of online gambling and playing at casinos. Like many of you here on the site both members and probably visitors I'm a big fan of the slots games that are out there that are available for play.
I've noticed something that I'm curious about that I'd be interested in hearing feedback from people here on the site in regards to. I find that many of the online casino software providers are still outputting games that use generic symbols like J, 10, Q, K, A rather then symbols that are well themed to the online casino slot games themselves. It's something that I'm not a huge fan of as I'd much rather play a game that has and uses symbols that are based around what's going on in the game.
Is there any reason in particular why online casino software providers do this?
Thanks as always everyone!

Re: Online casino slots with generic symbols in game?
I would say that the main reason why the software providers that make online casino games do this because of tradition and the fact that things like "7", "J", "Q", "K" and "A" symbols along with even simple more generic symbol like cherries, etc... are predominantly found in games that you'll still to this date find in land based casinos.
There could very well be some other reasons why this would be but this would be my take as to why online casino software providers are still doing symbols like this within their games.

I agree with what you're saying golfpro in part in regards to Raymond's question but I also think that it may be that in part online casino software providers are kind of lazy to come up with different symbols that are related to the game that make sense for the game. I personally think that games that don't use these generic symbols look far better and have a much nicer look and feel to them. Additionally "A", "K", "Q", "J", etc... symbols aren't really in general relevant to games that carry a very determined theme to them.
But I also agree with what you're saying in regards to tradition and this is very likely a part of it as well but I would bet that it's a combination of the two factors.
