It looks like we're approaching an era where online casino games manufacturers are going to be licensing more and more from reputable brands. It seems like the next set of licensed games from what I've read that will be coming about will be a set of games that will be licensed though Marvel by Playtech software to do a series of Marvel themed games that are based on the movies. Whereas the games that were done by the other well known software provider Cryptologic based on the comic books these next ones that will be done by Playtech will be done based on the movies. I personally think this will be much better and these games will probably look and play better as well. I'm interested in trying and playing them to see what they're like when they're released. It seems like all software makers are heading down this path. I saw that Realtime Gaming did a Three Stooges video slot but that's the only game that I can see that would be potentially licensed.

Seems to be the popular topic these days. Not only here but on other sites I've visited recently. I think this trend of bringing on big brands goes a long way in instilling confidence in players. Typically players enjoy playing these games not only for the entertainment value but because they trust the brands that are associated with them. For example in land based casinos Monopoly and Wheel of Fortune are those games that you can rarely find a place at as they're always full and being played by players. I think with Wheel of Fortune it's a bit different seeing as it's a progressive but none the less both are extremely popular. If you take a look around the casino and look at the games that are licensed to the developer of the games you'll notice that in general they're pretty busy. I think that this trust factor translates well into the online realm and thus players are more enthusiastic about playing games they see names they recognized plastered on.

I wonder if any professional sports franchise would ever license out the rights to the use of their brands. It would be great to see some NFL team slots games or some MLB themed slots as well. I suppose the fees and royalties that the providers that make slots software would have to pay would be rather hefty and thus kind of restrictive. Still it would be excellent to see something like this eventually.
