Does timing matter in casino games
Right now I'm new to online casinos and gambling on the internet and have a question that I'm sure most of you savvy gamblers out there will think is absolutely ridiculous but something that I figured that I'd ask because I'm curious and want to know on.
I'd like to know whether or not timing plays a role in how well you can do in a slot game either when you're in a bonus round or just plain out playing the game. I personally don't think it does but I have a friend and she plays at land based casinos all the time and she feels as though that after you wait for three beats to pass on the Wheel of Fortune game and then click the spin button that you're more likely to win 1000 coins then if you don't do that. I personally think that's ridiculous and would like some reassurance that I'm the one that's right here and that her view on this is completely wrong and misinformed.
Anyways your input and thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

Re: Does timing matter in casino games
I just stumbled upon Casino Advisor today and this is my first interaction with this site thus far but I felt compelled to reply on this posting.
No your friend is 100% not right and you're definitely right if your thought was that timing bears no impact on the outcome of the games that are played. Quite simply a player has no ability "WHATSOEVER" to influence the outcome of the games that they play at casinos though any traditional means of doing so. Unless you're cheating or have an in with a particular glitch in the system it's definitely not possible. Perhaps at one time there was a glitch in the Wheel of Fortune game that may have lead to a higher probability of winning a larger win but trust me when they find these things they're fixed very quickly and it's very rare that such issues do exists simply due to the rigorous testing that casinos both online and offline have for these sort of things.
So to reinforce your original thought you're absolutely right and timing doesn't have any influence on the games!

Re: Does timing matter in casino games
Many people who play slots are very ignorant to these sorts of things and really don't understand things and how they work. Many people still beleive in undeniable luck where as there really is no such thing. Slots games are based on probabilities and statistically someone's going to win the jackpot on every single slot machine game whether it be at a land casino or an internet casino. So yeah your friend just doesn't understand how things work... it's not the worse thing in the world though for people to have hope so long as they don't get carried away as some players do.

Thanks for the feedback it's greatly appreciated. I figured things were this way in terms of the randomness of the games and the fact that timing really plays no part in how casinos function and operate. It's nice sometimes to know for certain though.
I've also referred my friend to this thread and she's now content with the idea that things are this way... no more silly ideas of how this stuff works whoo hooo...

Cool glad you can see it for what it is. Bottom line if there was a way that we were all able to cheat the system like this and it was timing related the casinos would get screwed and we'd have no where to play. So even if such an exploit was ever discovered I would say that it would be identified and corrected really quickly and agree with the views of everyone else here on the board too.

I agree though and do beleive that time based games where timing meant that you'd have a slight advantage at least if it even just seemed that was but wasn't in fact the case would be great!

No it definitely doesn't and don't let other players convince you that it might because it's totally not the case whatsoever.

Re: Does timing matter in casino games
I wish there were an advantage to timing or games that were to be perceived in a way where timing could come into the picture in terms of our ability to alter the outcome of various games that we play.

i think it matters a lot depending on what kind of casino you are playing if you are playing the full-poker-games then you should make sure you can bare the quick rhythm.if not then you go to the short-handed rooms,i suggest!

Skill factors and gaming don't really exist but would be great. If there were a way for house to ensure their few percent are paid out on games in addition to there being the ability to influence the outcome of the games that we play would be pretty amazing to say the least.
