Does anyone even use auto play as a feature in blackjack?
I noticed a while back that Microgaming offered an auto play feature within several of their variations of blackjack available within their software my question is really does it pay to really use the optimal strategy set by a software provider within their own product. Isn't this slightly a conflict of interest in producing a feature within a game that gives that player the advantage of not making any mistakes while playing the game?
I was always under the impression that casinos regardless of offline land casinos or online casinos made their money on blackjack on players who don't fully understand or follow basic blackjack strategy which if followed reduces the house edge to less than 1%.
Anyways not a big deal but I just wanted to see what other peoples thought on this were.

Re: Does anyone even use auto play as a feature in blackjack?
Hey there m8... Well although I don't have any solid proof to back up my claim here I'd have to say that most people (aka your average online casino player) and more importantly players who are not overly familiar with blackjack may very well take advantage of this feature. I would say that the average online casino player doesn't study nor know even basic blackjack strategy and thus I believe that the use of this feature would be highly advantageous to them and make a difference in lowing the house edge on blackjack variations close to that 1% mark.
Even if this isn't true the feature is of value to the software provider to say the least. Blackjack is a game that is very common amongst online casino platforms and by that I don't mean that they all offer the game but that there isn't much that can be done to differentiate one online blackjack game from another providers (of course unless you're doing up tons of variations which I'm certain no one plays like Microgaming has done). This feature really helps set them apart from other providers although now I do think that Cryptologic has integrated a similar auto play via set strategy feature into one of their newer blackjack games recently released.
These are just my thoughts on the subject...

I sometimes use the auto play feature available at Microgaming casinos and blackjack although for the most part I enjoy clicking on the buttons and performing all the actions within the game on my own. If I use the auto play feature it's mostly while playing slots games whether I be playing in a Microgaming casino or one powered by Vegas Technology, RTG or other software provider.

I use it for slots only. As far as blackjack, i don't trust it.

I think that it's fine to use for both slots and blackjack. The reason being that with Microgaming blackjack auto play and others out there you get to set the strategy yourself so if you don't like the underlying strategy they have chosen you can change it to whatever you'd like.

Auto play as a feature at online casinos in general seems a bit useless to me I don't really understand why anyone would really want to use such a feature as it would most certainly takes away from the entire gaming expereince the buildup, etc... I don't think I'll ever use it but then again I am rather new to the world of online casino gambling!
