Why some casinos can offer larger tournaments
Hi Casino Advisor members,
I've been curious as to why many online casinos are able to offer tournaments that are larger and in excess of that of what you'd find is typically offered by other online casinos out there and I think I've found my answer. After asking around and talking to a few friends of mine who are rather avid online gamblers I think that I've found my answer as to why things are the way they are in this respect. I was particularly interested in knowing why the online casino tournaments that are offered by Online Vegas and their casinos are a lot larger in general in comparison to that of the casinos that are part of the same group of online casinos that English Harbour belongs to. From what I've discovered the larger the online casino group and the more traffic that they get to their online casino brands the easier it really is for them to be able to be able to offer these larger casino tournaments. So as a result it must be that Online Vegas and these guys casinos must have much more play though volume then the other guys and hence why they're able to get these big tournament numbers out there. I see that sometimes in a month they may be offering close to 500K in tournament prizes that can be won. Which to me is a huge amount considering that the other guys will only offer tournaments that are at max in the 200K range from what I've seen so far. I play at both Online Vegas and at Super Slots both of which are really good casinos although they're powered by the same online casino software and virtually the same each has qualities that make them both worth while to play at. If however you're primarily interested in playing in big online casino tournaments then there's no doubt that playing at Online Vegas casino and the other two casinos that they operate would be a good move for you.
Have a nice day and enjoy playing in tournaments if you already do play in them and if not give them a try I don't think that you'll be disappointed.
Cheers, Scott

Re: Why some casinos can offer larger tournaments
By volume you're absolutely right Online Vegas and that group of online casinos probably does get a lot more traffic and thus get's more players. Just look at how aggressively casino advisor promotes these guys. It's not only here on Casino Advisor thought that this is the case just take a look at some of the top online casino guides out there such as online casino suites and others that rank well in google and you'll find that many if not most of them have Online Vegas and Go Casino sitting higher and above the English Harbour group of online casinos brands. Sure it might mean that they get bigger volume and hence can offer larger casino tournaments but at the same time I feel as though they're so close to being that same that one's not really better then the other. I've been playing myself at Millionaire online casino for quite some time now and have had really good experiences with them and am definitely happy with it all. I think that players who are interested in playing at Vegas Technology casinos for their tournaments shouldn't base the casino expereince just on the play they get in the tournaments but also the bonuses, the customer support, etc...

The Golden Casino group of online casinos hasn't been around for as long either but definitely is a marketing powerhouse which is undoubtedly why they're able to launch such large tournaments at their online casinos. I think that they really know what they're doing which is why they're always at the top of this industry.

Re: Why some casinos can offer larger tournaments
I regularly play at Online Vegas and have played at casinos powered by the English Harbour company and have to say that I prefer playing at Online Vegas over the latter. I think that as players we all have preferences but both in terms of the tournaments and overall experience I've had for me Online Vegas is better. I'm sure that there's lots of players that would argue to the contrary but that's just my view on it.

Re: Why some casinos can offer larger tournaments
It really has to be a volume thing as in some cases they need the buy-in money to really help them guarantee that they'll raise enough money in order to be able to ensure that the guarantee is not eating into their profits and that the casino won't be a looser in running the tournament. They know what they're doing undoubtedly and thus the large tournament guaranteed prizes can only be attributed to the fact that they know that they'll be able to give out that amount in prizes but also make their own margins.

In my point of view, online casinos offer larger tournaments for the players through this they will determine the gamblers different opinions about other tournaments for this they will enhance their product and then to compete again with other casino providers.

Tournaments are very big online these days from poker to casino and even seen in bingo. I beleive that the bigger the tournaments the bigger the prizes can be but that ultimately means as well though that there's more competition in the tournament which to me isn't as attractive as say tournaments that are smaller and perhaps easier to win in. There's no point to play in tournaments IMO that you know you're never going to win really.
