Benefits of Joining Casino Tournaments
Online casinos often take different measures to please their players and thank them for choosing that particular web site. The players, who tend to play in the same casino web site for a significantly long period of time, are usually rewarded by loyalty programs from online casinos. VIP clubs are the most common example of these systems.
The aim of the loyalty program is to motivate and stimulate regular players and keep them satisfied, so they do not change the gambling place.
By joining the loyalty system, despite exciting gambling experience, a player is able to receive extra benefits as well, in difference with other non-privileged players. The idea behind loyalty programs and VIP clubs is that players get the chance of receiving something extra.
Most widespread type of loyalty system is called the ‘comp point system.’ This system gives the devoted players extra points, regardless whether they wager with real money or play for free. The points have a certain dollar amount and when accumulated enough, they are exchanged for a real prize. The prizes come in various forms, including monetary bonuses, chips, gift choices and so on. The amount of monetary bonus obviously depends on the number of points collected. If you get the chips as a prize, you can transfer them into the real money by wagering with them. The gift list may include anything from home appliances to luxury goods.
Some online casinos even offer ‘comp points’ to all their players, regardless a loyalty program membership. In this case, still, the members are privileged, as each dollar they wager definitely translates in more ‘comp points’.
Despite receiving points, loyalty system members have more other benefits, such as instant cash awards or additional bonuses on any deposit they make while playing. For different bonus types, that a loyal player is vulnerable to get, read our post about casino bonuses. Furthermore, loyalty system members tend to get more prompt services, including withdrawal service and payment options.
Note that many loyalty programs are multi-leveled, meaning that each players begins with a bottom one and moves forward by earning a certain number of points. The points are usually earned according to the total depositing amount a player has wagered.
As players move up to higher levels, the things are getting better and better with the conversion rate getting higher and higher. But… sometimes, the highest level of a loyalty program is booked for VIP players, who most of the time are invited by the casino management. But luckily, it happens only sometimes.
So if you are just starting your gambling adventure, why not receive more from it? To become a loyalty club member the only thing you have to do is to be stable, meaning that you have to chose the perfect online casino from the very beginning. Re: Benefits of Joining Casino Tournaments
With live poker playing a big role in today's poker players' schedules, it is important to consider the impact of rake in player's expected ROI. I've been discussing this issue with friends lately, and have come to the conclusion that there's very little to non value for the serious/professional player in what we can call "Casino daily tournaments". The average rake charged by casinos in these tournaments is 25%, and a few of them go up to 35%. The smaller rake I could find was at The Venetian, which charges $150, $20 of which goes toward rake. You have to be pretty damn good to have a positive ROI AFTER expenses in order to make any profit playing these, moreso when you include in the calculation the added expenses of live poker, such as: you have to drive to the place (or take a cab), you tip when you cash, you tip the waitress when she brings you a drink, etc. With all this in mind, can you really make any money? Let's check out what the best online SnG players were making on similar field sizes:
According to Sharkscope's leaderboard, the #1 ranked player on PokerStars 7+ tables SnG's in 2011 is "Shen888", with an ROI of 28%.

Re: Benefits of Joining Casino Tournaments
One of the benefits is that one can win cash without spending a dime.
I have participated in a casino tournament and won 100 Euro. Sorry for this post but I need to write something to receive my winnings in the tournament to prove that the money is real. It was a 3 day tournament with a EUR 30000 prize fund.
Thanks everyone, I better go get my cash.
