I've always wondered why the pay lines in online slots games and I suppose this would apply to traditional land based casino slots games to pay from left to right. I don't beleive I've ever seen a game that pays from right to left.

Is the consistency in slots paying left to right something that slots manufactures do to keep things the same for players so as to not confuse anyone?

Anyways it's not actually a big deal however I've always wondered this and wanted to know from people here on the message board whether there's actually a reason for this.

Yeah my though on is that online casinos and land bases slot development firms to this to maintain consistency amongst all their games as a fundamental rule when designing games.

Also as in North America and other Latin language based cultures we read from left to right and not right to left so I think that it's safe to say that this probably plays a role in this as well!

I don't think I've ever seen a game that pays anything but from left to right... I think it would be really weird to have to read paylines from the opposite way. It would however be cool if online casinos were able to do something where they'd give you an option to have wins paid from right to left...

I guess thats just standard format, like reading right to left. However, I have seen games that pay both ways and even upside down lol.
