In recent months there have been a lot of changes to online banking for casinos. Most of who are using an online casino shouldn't be affected by these changes; however if you live in the US then you might find it harder to gamble online in the coming months. There are several rumours going around that have yet to be substantiated. One of the rumours is that ePassporte an online option for depositing with casinos is going to take away their services for the USA. In fact they may shut down the services for the whole gambling online industry in the US, not just at specific casinos.
A lot of the online banking companies have been taking away their online banking methods for the US. ePassporte is one of the last ones to still be open to the USA. There is a lot of pressure from several areas to shut done the US market. Neteller was one of the first online casino banking options that have left the industry.
This new information came to light because of an email sent to all Cake Poker clients. Everyone that plays at Cake Poker was told they would no longer be able to use ePassporte for deposits or withdrawals. Since these emails confirmation has been found by speaking with the company about their e Wallet services.
It seems all of these changes are coming about by an investigation located out of the US Attorney's Office for the New York district. We have has also found fact that ePassporte is about to take their services away.
However there are some companies that are stating a denial that this will even happen. It seems that no one is sure of what will happen in the coming months, but since the information is considered to be rumour a lot of poker and online gambling fans will just have to keep on top of the news.
It seems that a lot of online gamblers are not able to use their accounts and this could have been the start of the rumour. The issues with ePassporte are being called technical problems by the company and are supposed to be in no way a sign of what is to come.
Casinopokernews is another company trying to get an answer on the actual truth behind the emails supposedly sent out. Unfortunately they also have not been able to substantiate any facts. It is certainly a huge deal for those who have been using ePassporte and if you are one of those people you might want to keep an eye on the news.
At this moment a lot of online casinos for the US are suggesting the customers might want to withdraw their money just to be on the side of caution just to be safe in case the news turns out to be correct. For those who don't want to lose their money if things do change it is best to withdraw and try a different company that is willing to work with the US.
