EGR B2B Awards Shortlist AnnouncedBy: Rick Balding, Thursday March 31st 20110 Comments Email Print 2011 is the second year for the EGR B2B Awards. These awards are specifically for those operators in the online gaming industry who provide services to other operators. They include online gaming disciplines such as software, networks, mobile gaming, payments, recruitments, IT and infrastructure. The entries for the 2011 EGR B2B Awards were invited in February. The last date for submitting entries was March 11. The panel of judges has scrutinized the entries and has announced the shortlisted candidates for the various categories. The most nominated entity is the leading online gaming software provider Playtech with seven nominations. Net Entertainment, BetOnSoft and Microgaming have four nominations each, while Dragonfish, Zukido and CQR Payment Solutions received three nominations each. The awards are divided into two broad categories, with several awards in each category. The first category of Software/Networks would be of greater interest to online casino players. Microgaming and Playtech have been nominated for the RNG Casino supplier of the year. Microgaming was the winner in 2010. However, these popular software providers do not figure in the shortlist for Innovation in RNG Casino software. The nominations for the Slot Provider of the year include Playtech, Microgaming and last year's winner WagerWorks. WagerWorks is the online wing of the land slot machine supplier IGT. Microgaming has also been nominated for Innovation in Slot Provision. Last year's winner Cryptologic does not find a place in the shortlist. Live casinos are becoming increasingly popular and Playtech has secured a nomination in the Live Casino Supplier of the Year category. The Mobile Supplier of the Year shortlist features IGT, Playtech and Spin3. Spin3 is a Microgaming partner and won the award last year. Other categories include software suppliers for online bingo halls, online poker rooms and sports betting. The second category in the EGR B2B awards is for the Services Categories. Here the categories related to payment solutions would interest online casino players. Some of the companies shortlisted for Payments Company of the Year are EntroPay, Ukash and Moneybookers, which is under its new name of Skrill. Moneybookers was the winner last year. Ukash and Entropay are also shortlisted in the Innovations in Payment Solutions category. Regional Payments Solution of the Year has CQR Payment Solutions, Moneta and Optimal Payments. Neteller is conspicuous by its absence. The Services Category also covers fraud and compliance, IT, legal and recruitment. The EGR B2B Awards ceremony will take place at Chelsea Football Club in London on the evening of Tuesday May 3. The tickets prices include a three course dinner and after party entertainment. The EGR B2B Awards have been organized by eGaming Review, the leading journal of the online gambling industry.
