Cryptologic Signs Up With Totesport

The leading online gaming software provider Cryptologic had taken a strategic decision to supply its online slot games to casinos operating on the platforms of other software providers as a means to extend its reach and increase its profitability. Over the last year it has been relentlessly pursuing this strategy announcing deal after deal with software providers and online casinos. Through a press release from its head office in Dublin, Cryptologic has just announced its latest multi-year agreement with Totesport. Totesport is the United Kingdom's state owned bookmaker and the fourth largest bookmaker operating in that country.

Under the agreement Cryptologic will initially offer six of its most popular online slot games at the Totesport online casino website. These will include both branded and unbranded slot games. The branded slots include the games based on Marvel Comics superheroes. The exact games that will be offered have not been indicated. However the games are bound to be popular with the customers of Totesport and Cryptologic will earn revenues based on the wagers placed at the Totesport website. The games will be on stream by the third quarter of 2009.

Totesport was founded by an Act of Parliament in 1928 and has annual revenues of £2.8 billion, 4,000 employees and a presence at racecourses, on the Internet and through telephone based betting. Online casino wagering is just one of the products it offers. Keith Oliver, e-Gaming and Marketing Director of Totesport, said of the agreement, "Our agreement with Cryptologic brings together two very trusted brands from bookmaking and gaming content. We are confident this collaboration will not only bring a new level of enjoyment for our customers but will also help to drive our ongoing expansion into online gaming."

Justin Thouin, Vice President of Cryptologic confirmed that this agreement with Totesport would enable them to consolidate their strong position in the United Kingdom online gaming industry. He added, "Totesport is one of the most respected brands in the UK betting industry and we are delighted that its customers will be able to pit their skills and enhance their enjoyment with Cryptologic games." With this agreement the number of Cryptologic licensees has gone up to 23. This includes the "big four" international operators.

Cryptologic will be offering the online slot games to Totesport through Orbis Technology. Orbis Technology is a platform solutions provider to the online global betting industry. Cryptologic had entered into a strategic partnership with Orbis Technology in December 2008. Orbis Technology supplies online casino solutions through its Fixed Odds Games platform. Through this partnership Cryptologic would get access to the customers of Orbis, of which Totesport is one. The other high profile customers include Skybet, Betfair, Paddy Power and Blue Square. Cryptologic already had similar agreements with Betfair and Paddy Power.
