Cryptologic Signs Up Paddy Power

The ink on Cryptologic's agreement with Sportingbet has barely dried and another announcement has been made through a press release from Dublin, Ireland. This one states that Cryptologic has signed up Paddy Power as its latest customer. Paddy Power is the largest betting services provider in Ireland and a leading provider of betting and gaming services in the United Kingdom. Paddy Power operates more than 250 retail licensed betting offices across Ireland and the UK. The online casino operated by Paddy Power is also very popular.

The agreement between Cryptologic and Paddy Power is for a period of three years under which Cryptologic will supply 9 of its most popular online slot games to Paddy Power. One of the Cryptologic branded games and one non-branded game can already be played by members of Paddy Power at the online casino. The remaining seven online slots will be made available latest by the end of 2009.

In a sense this deal between Cryptologic and Paddy Power was always on the cards. It was only a question of when. Paddy Power online casino is powered by the Fixed Odds Games platform of Orbis Technology. In December 2008 Cryptology signed a deal with Orbis Technology to provide its online slots to clients of Orbis Technology, which include Skybet, Betfair, Paddy Power, Blue Square, and many others. The objective of this agreement was for Cryptologic to increase its reach in the online casino market through existing channels.

Brian Hadfield, the President and CEO of Cryptologic, was pleased to partner with Paddy Power because it is "one of the world's most celebrated gaming brands". He added that the reason Paddy Power had chosen Cryptologic was that Cryptologic produces some of the world's most celebrated games. "These games are proven profit-makers for our customers, and that is why Cryptologic continues to attract the global giants of online entertainment." Justin Thouin, Cryptologic's Vice President said that the addition of Cryptologic games to Paddy Power Casino's portfolio would enhance the gaming experience at the online casino. He added, " we are confident our games will be embraced by even more new players across Ireland, the U.K. and beyond."

Christopher Coyne, Head of eGaming at Paddy Power acknowledged that the Cryptologic games will strengthen the appeal of Paddy Power. With the addition of these games Paddy Power will increase is offering to the landmark number of 100 games. As against this, Cryptologic offers more than 280 games. Its software is immensely popular and has won the Gambling Online Magazine's Top Casino Software award for the fourth consecutive year. This award is based on the votes of players and is considered the most prestigious award in the industry.
