Cryptologic And Victor Chandler Sign Deal

2009 has been an eventful year for Cryptologic. It has signed deals with a number of leading online casinos operating in the European and United Kingdom market. At the center of these deals are the Marvel branded online slots developed by Cryptologic. These slots are based on Marvel Comics superheroes and have been developed under license from Marvel. The latest online casino operator to ink an agreement with Cryptologic is Victor Chandler. This was announced by Cryptologic through a press release from its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland on June 29.

This multi-year deal is similar to the deals with other gaming operators. It envisages that at least ten of Cryptologic's most popular online slots will be featured on the Victor Chandler online casino. The games have not been named in the press release and neither have the financial details of the agreement been made public. The first lot of games will contain some unbranded games along with some branded games and go live in the third quarter of 2009. The remaining games will be released in the last quarter of 2009.

In January 2009 Cryptologic had entered into strategic partnership with Gaming Technology Solutions plc (GTS). GTS is a leading platform for online casino games and has as its customers tier one gaming operators. The partnership with GTS paved the way for Cryptologic to supply its games to GTS customers through Enhanced Gaming Engine (EdGE), which is a proprietary games platform belonging to GTS. Cryptologic's deal with Victor Chandler is an extension of its partnership with GTS. Earlier Cryptologic had signed a deal with another GTS client, Sportingbet.

Brian Hadfield, Cryptologic's President and CEO, said, "Today, Cryptologic adds yet another blue-chip European gaming brand to the growing list of customers offering players an extraordinary e-gaming experience." He called this strategy "build-once-license-often". His said that the success of this strategy lay in the continued demand of Cryptologic games among the world's top operators.

The Victor Chandler Group is currently headed by Victor Chandler, the grandson of Victor Chandler senior, who started the group in 1946. The online operations offer gambling products like sports betting, casino and poker. Victor Chandler is headquartered in Gibraltar, employs over 350 people and operates in more than 160 countries.

Michael Carlton, CEO of Victor Chandler International elucidated on why Victor Chandler had chosen to partner with Cryptologic. He said, "We are committed to providing our customers with a sophisticated, multi-layered operation with easy-to-use betting platforms that will keep them coming back for more " He added that Cryptologic games had the required "blend of simplicity and sophistication" and thus fit in with their plans.
