It is soon going to be war at InterCasino. From the 21st of August to the 31st of August the online casino will be hosting a series of Casino War Tournaments. And what will be great about these online tournaments is that the top eight players in each tournament will share in the cash prize.
As is the practice in casino online tournaments all competitors start with the same chip stack. Each player is given 30 minutes to increase his stack to the extent he can. The players will be allowed to take breaks in between and can complete their 30 minutes in more than one session. At the end of the 30 minutes playing time the players with the highest chip counts will be declared the winners. And the players need not play the full 30 minutes. If they feel that they have a good enough chip balance to win they can call it quits before time. The entry to the online tournament is not free. Each player will have to pay a fee of $10. The total guaranteed prize pool for each tournament is $500. This will be split among the eight winners as follows. The top winner will get $250, the first runner up will get $100 and the next six players will get $25 each.
Casino War is a simple casino game suitable for online tournaments. Essentially the objective is to get a higher card than the dealer. Casino War follows the normal card rankings with the aces being the highest and the twos being the lowest. The player first makes the ante wager. Then one card is dealt to the player and one to the dealer. If the player has the higher card then he is paid out at even money. If the dealer has the higher card then the player loses the ante wager. If both the cards are of equal rank then Casino War proceeds to the net level. The player has a choice of surrendering and losing half his wager. Or he can go on the offensive by placing a second wager equal to the ante wager. Again one card is dealt to the player and one to the dealer. In this case if the card of the player is equal to or higher than the card of the dealer he is paid out at even money on the second wager and retains the ante wager. If the card of the dealer is higher then the player loses both the ante wager and the second wager.
Currently two other online tournaments are in progress at InterCasino. One is the Caribbean Stud Poker tournament that comes to close on the 20th of August. The other is the Inter Olympics that ends on the 24th of August.
