Playing Caribbean Stud Poker at Cryptologic Casinos

All Cryptologic online casinos offer Caribbean Stud Poker in the table games section. Five variants are offered based on the betting range. The rules and game play are otherwise identical. The lowest betting range is from $1 to $50 whereas the highest betting range is from $100 to $1000. Hence both low rollers and high rollers are catered for. Players should choose the appropriate betting range based on their bankroll for the session and the number of deals they want to play.

The first thing that players should do is understand the layout and the features offered by Cryptologic in its Caribbean Stud Poker. The game rules and the payout table are shown on the top left hand corner and can be accessed by moving the cursor over the appropriate area. The current value of the progressive jackpot is shown on the top right of the screen, below which are the payouts for the progressive jackpot.

The important game customization buttons are at the bottom of the screen. At the left is the Game Speed button. Players can choose from three game speeds. The fastest speed does away with the card dealing animations and displays the cards directly. There is a comprehensive Auto Bet feature that allows players to set the number of games, the bet type, the better amount and a number of conditions at which the Auto Bet stops. There are two Setting buttons. One is in the bottom tool bar. This is for the customization of all games across the board and contains options like lobby and game window settings, animation, and sound options. The Settings button on the right is for the options peculiar to the Caribbean Stud Poker game. There are three important options available. The first option, if enabled, warns the player when he is folding with a AK or higher hand. The second option warns the player that he is folding when eligible for a progressive jackpot payout. Both these options should be enabled because the player has nothing to lose by doing so. The third option allows the player to automatically wager the bet for the progressive jackpot. If the player is absolutely certain that he will play the progressive bet on each wager only then should he enable this option.

The chip denominations are available on the left side of the table. The player has first to build the ante bet by selecting the suitable sized chips. If the bet selected is less than the minimum or more than the maximum it is automatically set to the minimum or maximum respectively. A text and an audio message announce this adjustment. The progressive wager can be placed by clicking on the slot provided. If the player activates the Deal without placing the progressive bet a text message appears reminding him. The player can disable this message from appearing subsequently.

After the cards are dealt the player decides whether he wants to Fold or Bet. If he folds then he loses his wager. If he places the bet then the dealer’s hand is exposed and the ante and the bet settled as per the rules of the game. The player can activate the next hand with the same wager with the Rebet & Deal button or he can place a different wager as described earlier.
