Cantor Gaming and Heavy Metal have just announced a deal that will bring many Heavy Metal comic characters into the reels of online slots machines. Heavy Metal is a popular comic book that has several cult characters based on dark fantasy, science fiction and erotica. The characters that will take on the new avatar have not yet been named, but Canto Gaming will be developing video slots based on the themes of Heavy Metal. The deal gives exclusive rights to Cantor Gaming on the Heavy Metal characters and settings.

Themed slots are perhaps the most popular of online casino options and Cantor Gaming has done the right thing by exploiting the brand equity of an already well-known theme. This deal will go a long way in making Cantor Gaming a name to reckon with in the online gaming industry. Cantor Gaming's Managing Director, Manu Gambhir, said they have been working on this concept for quite some time. With the signing of the deal they have taken an important step in developing what will undoubtedly be their best product yet in terms of animation, styling and special effects. Kevin Eastman, the owner of Heavy Metal, who is also the co-creator of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", is also banking on Cantor Gaming producing a vibrant and original brand of online casino video slots for Heavy Metal characters. He wants to use the popularity the slots games will generate to create a market for a Heavy Metal movie produced by a major studio by 2010. The movie will then further popularize the slots game series resulting in an ongoing win-win situation for both Cantor Gaming and Heavy Metal.

The advantage with Cantor Gaming is that it has its own online casino, CantorCasino. The casino is quite popular among European players, currently American players not being allowed.
