Gamblers believe in beginner's luck and there are many stories to support it. Now one more story will be added to the online gambling folklore of a beginner making a big hit.

The numbers that she had picked were 03, 12, 16, 28 and 43. And to her surprise all five numbers were drawn and the lucky nurse found herself winning £200,000. She is thrilled that she did place the bet. She told the online casino that she had never imagined that she would win so much money and like all big jackpot winners she is still in a state of shock. She said, "There are too many 'noughts' for me to comprehend!"

William Hill offers online gambling services like sports betting, casino poker and bingo. Jeannie Prest, the spokesperson for the online gambling portal, said that William Hill was earning a reputation for producing big winners. In 2008 alone William Hill has created two millionaires and has paid out several six-figure jackpots. Though a return of £200,000 on a bet of £2 is huge it is not the best at William Hill. In February 2008 Fred Craggs, also from Yorkshire, won a million pounds on a bet of only 50p by landing an 8-horse accumulator.

The list of big winners at William Hill is long. A player from Oxford won £1.1million from a £3 stake at the online casino of William Hill. A player from Sussex accumulated £1.4 million from a winning streak at roulette. Sophie M from Peterborough became famous as the "lightning strikes twice" girl when she hit two progressive jackpots of £102,000 and £85,000 in the space of a month. David H from Stevenage won £435,375 on the Millionaires Club slot machine.

The nurse has expressed her desire to remain anonymous and William Hill is respecting it. But her profession does bring back to memory an online gambling incident that happened not too long ago. A Wink Bingo press advertisement featured a nurse who was neglecting her duties while rejoicing at her online gambling win. The Advertisement Standards Authority banned the advertisement. This is no insinuation on the conscientiousness or capability of nurse who struck it big at William Hill.
