A year ago Vegas Technology released an online slot game titled American Icon. This slot was based on the popular television reality show American Idol. American Idol is popular worldwide and has franchisee shows in many countries. The symbols on the reels are based on the American Idol theme. They include Recording Contract, Gold Star, American Icon, Music Note and Music Chart. American Icon is a 5 reels 20 paylines video bonus slot that has 35 winning combinations. There is a wide range of coin denominations starting from $0.01 and going up to $10.00. The players can bet only one coin per payline making the maximum bet as 20 coins or $200. American Icon does not have a progressive jackpot but offers two fixed jackpots of 10,000 coins and 1,000 coins. Three American Icon symbols appearing on any active payline trigger the bonus round on the second screen. This game simulates the American Idol contest. The player is asked to choose a contestant and follow that contestant through several rounds. At the end of each round the contestant gets a contract of an unknown amount. The player can choose to eliminate his contestant and accept the credits mentioned in the contract and end the game or the player can eliminate another contestant and move to the next round. If the player allows his contestant to become the American idol then he must accept the credits in the contract finally given. Three or more Scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels trigger the bonus round on the reels. This bonus round offers 15 free spins. All payouts are doubled during free spins. Free spins can be re-triggered during the bonus round.
