I've been in the world of online gambling for many years now. If you have an Amex card and you're playing at an online casino USE IT! From some reason or another Amex is far more resilient to credit card rejections when you're playing at online casinos that accept Amex as a form of depositing. Currently some of the online casinos that I've been playing at that offer this method of depositing include: Rushmore Casino, Club World Casino (My personal favorite) and a few others. Most of the online casinos that currently opperate in the US that are serious about keeping their players should definitely offer Amex. I fully agree with "caddyshack" here using your Amex is of serious value at online casinos if you have one. Many of the online casinos that accept Amex as a form of payment allow for much larger deposits and more deposits per month at their online casino.
